Conclusions
As you can see, iOS and Android are very different beasts. We’ve chosen the cream of the crop, and they’re all similarly priced too.
While the iPhone was last year’s leader specs –wise, it’s fallen way behind in 2012. Apart from the iPhone brand itself, it’s got an incredibly user-friendly interface and great iCloud integration with Apple’s other devices going for it. However, the design is the same as the 4’s at over two years old now - if you want your iPhone to be future-proof, wait for the new one that’s expected later this year.
If you’re in love with Android’s customizable UI, it’s a tough call between the One X and the S3. If design is important to you, or if you take lots of pictures, go with the One X, which also comes with a relatively light Android skin that stays true to the essence of Ice Cream Sandwich. If you can tolerate the plain-jane design of the S3 and the ugly TouchWiz interface, you’ll be wowed by its battery life and massive storage, as well as its nifty software tweaks. Either way, you won’t be disappointed.
