Peplums were introduced as early as the 19th century and had its heydays in the 40s and 80s. In the most recent version, peplum dresses are mostly pencil dresses with one/many circular ruffles attached around the waistline that give the wearer an illusion of an hourglass figure. They look good on almost anyone and can be worn anytime; at day or night, from your workplace to a party. Wearing a peplum is a statement in itself so you don't have to bother about accessorizing it. The key is to keep it simple!
